To enable caseworkers to use rights of access to personal and policy information under the Data Protection Act 1998 and the Freedom of Information Act 2000. The course will have a practical focus with examples and case studies.

• The Date Protection Act – rights and limitations
• The Freedom of Information Act – how it works and its 
  uses
• Establishing rights for incapacitated clients
